Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current and valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the United States.
• Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques relevant to occupational therapy.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to follow detailed treatment plans and adapt activities as directed by the supervising occupational therapist.

Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in delivering therapeutic interventions and activities designed to improve patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities.
• Monitor and document patient progress, reporting observations and any changes in condition to the supervising occupational therapist.
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment to ensure a safe and effective therapeutic environment.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies to support continued progress outside of clinical sessions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and contribute to comprehensive treatment planning.
