Kapi‘olani Community College, Health Sciences Department, invites applications for an Instructor, CC (Occupational Therapy Assistant, Academic Fieldwork Coordinator). This full-time faculty role supports ACOTE compliance and fieldwork education within the OTA program.

The position includes didactic and fieldwork teaching, curriculum development, and collaborative program advancement. Evening/weekend offerings may be required; contract is 9 months with potential flexibility based on needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field and 3 years of field work supervision or 3 years of teaching, curriculum development & administration in an accredited OT or OTA program
• Current Hawai‘i OT or OTA licensure
• Master's degree or equivalent accepted for certain cases (pre-2015) from non-accredited institutions may be considered

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the program's fieldwork to meet ACOTE Standards Section C.1.0.
• Develop, conduct, and coordinate the fieldwork academic program.
• Teach in didactic, lab, and community settings and assess outcomes.
• Prepare syllabi and maintain office hours for advising and meetings with students.
• Collaborate with the Program Director and advisory committee to align curriculum with industry needs.
• Engage in professional development and service to the department and college.
