Job summary

Always Compassionate Health in Nassau County, Long Island, NY is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide upper‑extremity rehabilitation across the county. This per diem, 1099 independent contractor role is ideal for clinicians with a strong background in orthopedic rehabilitation, postoperative care, and custom splint fabrication.

Qualifications

• Active New York State OT license required.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy; master's preferred.
• Strong experience in upper extremity rehabilitation and post-operative care.
• Proficiency in custom splint fabrication and orthotics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations for upper-extremity conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide interventions to improve strength, ROM, dexterity, and functional performance.
• Fabricate, fit, and modify custom splints/orthoses post-op.
• Monitor progress, reassess outcomes, and adjust plans as needed.
• Educate patients on exercises, splint management, and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain compliant clinical documentation.
