Job summary

Always Compassionate Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide specialized upper-extremity rehabilitation across Nassau County, Long Island. This per diem role focuses on orthopedic care, post-operative recovery, and custom splint fabrication to restore function and independence for patients.

The OT will evaluate, plan, and deliver therapy, fabricate splints, monitor progress, and educate patients on exercises and home programs, collaborating with physicians and the health team to

Qualifications

• Active New York State OT license required.
• Experience in upper extremity rehabilitation and post-operative care.
• Proficiency in custom splint fabrication and orthosis fitting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations for orthopedic conditions affecting the upper extremities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Fabricate and adjust custom splints and orthoses.
• Educate patients on exercises and home programs.
• Document progress and coordinate with the care team.
