Job summary

Always Compassionate Health, located in Suffolk County, Long Island, NY, seeks an Occupational Therapist focused on upper-extremity rehabilitation and custom splint fabrication. The role emphasizes independent practice within a supportive team and opportunities for professional growth.

Requirements include an active NY OT license, a bachelor’s (master’s preferred), and strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active NY OT license.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy; master’s degree preferred.
• CHT credential preferred or eligible to sit for exam.
• Strong splinting and custom orthotic fabrication skills.
• Minimum of one year OT experience.
• Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat upper-extremity orthopedic conditions post-surgery or non-surgical.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to improve strength, mobility, function, and independence.
• Fabricate custom splints and orthotics for post-surgical or injuries.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes.
