Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking an IT/OT support professional to provide operational and technical assistance for refinery OT server and network environments. You will translate business requirements into technical solutions while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring safety compliance.

The role emphasizes reliability and security of infrastructure services, with close cooperation between business partners, engineers, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field; 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to perform OS, network, and hardware maintenance and basic infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Comfort working with engineers, operators and cross-functional teams to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine OS, network, and hardware preventative maintenance to ensure optimum system performance.
• Collaborates with process Owner on root cause analysis and issue resolution with Engineers and Operations.
• Provides basic technical support for hardware, applications, network, and systems administration.
• Generates and maintains performance and utilization metrics for infrastructure systems and reports on capacity.
• Participates in design and configuration of hardware, network, and software systems following guidelines.
• Documents solutions and shares best practices with the team.
• Maintains infrastructure including industrial control devices (HMI/PLC).
