Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP is seeking an IT OT support specialist responsible for operating system, network, and hardware maintenance for refinery OT environments. The role requires collaborating with engineers and process owners to resolve issues and improve reliability and security of infrastructure services.

The candidate will document solutions, contribute to knowledge sharing, and ensure compliance with refinery safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and security practices.
• Experience with industrial control system components like HMI/PLC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains OS, network, and hardware for OT server and network environments.
• Performs root-cause analysis with process owners and engineers.
• Provides basic hardware, network, and systems administration support.
• Generates performance metrics and reports for infrastructure systems.
• Participates in design and configuration of hardware, network, and software components.
• Documents solutions and shares best practices with the team.
• Collaborates with business and development teams to understand requirements.
