Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. is seeking an OT Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and secure connected OT systems across manufacturing facilities.

You will bridge plant-floor equipment with enterprise apps and analytics, delivering machine connectivity, OT cybersecurity, and cloud integration to enable real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, IT, industrial tech or related field.
5+ years OT/cloud/IoT experience in manufacturing or similar environments.
Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and industrial networks.
Familiarity with OT cybersecurity frameworks (ISA/IEC-62443, NIST).

Responsibilities

Design and deploy connected OT systems for manufacturing facilities.
Standardize data collection using OPC-UA, MQTT, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, Profinet.
Connect production assets to MES, CMMS, ERP, SCADA, historian and cloud platforms.
Develop machine data architectures and edge computing standards.
Drive real-time monitoring, dashboards and predictive maintenance initiatives.
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity, Quality and Supply Chain.
Develop OT-to-cloud architectures; manage cloud infrastructure and DR strategies.
Integrate equipment and sensors with CMMS platforms for automated work orders.
