Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. is seeking an OT Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and secure connected OT systems across manufacturing sites. You will bridge plant-floor equipment with MES/ERP, CMMS, SCADA, and cloud platforms, delivering real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and OT cybersecurity.

Collaborative role with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure secure, scalable manufacturing systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years OT/Cloud infrastructure experience.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA and industrial data exchange.
• Industrial networks knowledge (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus).
• OT cybersecurity knowledge per ISA/IEC-62443 or NIST.
• Experience integrating MES/ERP/historian with OT systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement connectivity for manufacturing equipment and assets.
• Standardize machine data collection using OPC-UA, MQTT, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, Profinet.
• Connect production assets to MES, CMMS, ERP, SCADA, historian, and cloud systems.
• Develop and maintain machine data architectures and edge computing standards.
• Drive real-time monitoring dashboards and enterprise-wide visibility.
• Design and support OT-focused AWS environments and security controls.
• Integrate CMMS and enable predictive maintenance based on analytics.
• Support OT cybersecurity and incident response activities.

This role serves as the bridge between plant-floor equipment, enterprise applications, and advanced analytics platforms.The engineer will deliver initiatives involving machine connectivity, industrial IoT, cloud infrastructure, CMMS integrations and OT cybersecurity.
