Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Security Architecture Engineer II to own the OT security architecture and platform stack across a large fleet of wind, solar, and storage assets. You will design and implement defenses for live industrial control systems, shaping reference architectures, baselines, and the end-to-end OT security toolchain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years in cybersecurity, network engineering, or control systems engineering (3+ OT/ICS).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage relationships.
• Proven ability to learn about the Company and renewables space.
• Proficiency with MS Office and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Own OT security architecture and platform ownership, including sensor placement, data flows, policy structures, and deployment standards.
• Maintain OT security standards and baselines aligned to ISA/IEC 62443 and CIS Benchmarks.
• Onboard OT logs to enterprise monitoring, develop OT-specific detection content, and coordinate with SOC.
• Conduct OT risk assessments and manage vulnerability remediation with plant teams.
• Lead incident resolution, threat hunting, and root-cause analysis.
• Define least-privilege roles, MFA, and secure remote access for engineers and vendors.
• Embed OT security requirements into projects and contracts; review connectivity designs.
• Coordinate with OT, plant operations, asset management, and project engineering teams.
• Develop runbooks and provide mentorship and training for operations staff.
• Support audit activities under NERC CIP, NIST SP 800-82, and ISA/IEC 62443.
