Job summary

Safire Rehab of Southtowns in Buffalo, NY is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) for a flexible PRN role. You will perform evaluations, develop plans of care, and deliver skilled interventions aimed at daily living, strength, cognition, balance, and independence.

The position offers $45–$50/hour, a supportive interdisciplinary team, and varied short-term and long-term care caseload with flexible scheduling to fit your availability.

Qualifications

• Active New York Occupational Therapist license required.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Skilled nursing or post-acute rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform occupational therapy evaluations and establish individualized plans of care
• Deliver skilled interventions focused on daily living skills, strength, coordination, cognition, balance, and functional performance
• Establish appropriate therapy goals and track resident progress
• Recommend adaptive strategies and equipment to promote independence and safety
• Modify treatment approaches based on clinical findings and resident response
• Provide education to residents and caregivers to support continued progress
• Maintain clear and timely clinical documentation
• Coordinate with COTAs and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
