Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Tier 1 OT NOC Administrator to monitor OT systems (SCADA, PLCs, HMIs) and respond to alarms. This onsite, contract role in San Antonio requires a technical degree and NOC experience.

You will perform initial troubleshooting, support OT servers and networks, and escalate complex issues to Tier 2 as needed. The role emphasizes documenting incidents, maintaining procedures, and producing routine performance reports.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or similar environment.
• Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
• Proficiency with monitoring and alerting tools.
• Experience with OT systems preferred; Windows Server admin a plus.
• Industry certifications such as Network+, CCNA, or ISA/IEC 62443 are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor OT systems (SCADA, PLCs, HMIs) using established tools.
• Respond to alarms and incidents within defined SLAs.
• Perform initial troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Provide basic OT server, network, and application support.
• Maintain incident records and update documentation.
• Generate routine OT performance reports.
• Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 or engineering teams.
