Job summary

EY is seeking a senior Solution Architect – OT Monitoring & Security Tooling to lead architecture for OT monitoring, asset visibility, detection, and security tooling across industrial environments.

You will define monitoring strategies, validate platform capabilities, and guide tool integrations while aligning OT security tooling with operational needs. This role drives continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration with operations, cybersecurity, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure, monitoring, security operations, operational technology, platform architecture, or solution architecture roles.
• Experience supporting monitoring, visibility, security tooling, SOC integration, asset management, or operational support platforms.
• Strong understanding of OT environments, industrial networks, asset discovery, security monitoring, and managed operations.
• Ability to translate operational monitoring and tooling needs into architecture, integration, and improvement plans.
• Experience collaborating across operations, SOC, cybersecurity, engineering, platform, vendor, and site teams.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Define OT monitoring, visibility, and security tooling strategies aligned to operational support needs.
• Establish monitoring coverage expectations for OT environments and asset visibility.
• Identify gaps in monitoring coverage, telemetry quality, alert fidelity and visibility.
• Develop recommendations to improve monitoring effectiveness and security outcomes.
• Partner with operations and cybersecurity to roadmap monitoring and tooling maturity.
• Provide solution architecture leadership for OT monitoring, asset visibility, vulnerability, endpoint, and security enablement platforms.
• Evaluate how OT monitoring integrates with enterprise security services and SOC workflows.
• Support tool integrations, data flows, alert routing, and platform onboarding.
• Coordinate with platform owners and operations teams to improve platform health and lifecycle management.
• Standardize monitoring and security tooling patterns across OT environments.
• Define monitoring and alerting requirements for OT security and operational use cases.
• Support development, tuning, and improvement of OT detection, alert workflows, and escalation paths.
• Collaborate with SOC and incident response to improve alert usability and actionability.
• Review alert volumes and escalation performance to drive improvements.
• Assist integration of OT outputs with enterprise detection and response processes.
• Support OT asset discovery and data quality initiatives.
• Guide asset management integration with CMDB and service platforms.
• Monitor health, coverage, reliability, and lifecycle status of OT tooling platforms.
• Plan platform upgrades, patching, and sensor/collector health.
• Identify risks from tooling degradation or gaps.
• Provide architecture guidance for remediation of issues.
• Serve as senior technical advisor for OT monitoring, tooling, telemetry, and security platforms.
• Coordinate with engineering, SOC, and site teams to resolve tooling concerns.
• Translate pain points into architecture and process improvements.
