Responsibilities

• Support and maintain OT infrastructure across gas plants and compressor stations
• Act as primary OT support resource within assigned district
• Monitor infrastructure components and systems for performance issues and anomalies
• Support OT network topology and infrastructure; assist with deployment and integration of infrastructure components
• Document support requests, resolutions, and troubleshooting activities
• Escalate issues to senior engineers or vendors when appropriate
• Participate in disaster recovery and system recovery testing
• Partner with Operations, Project Managers, OT NOC, and Corporate IT
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation

Job description

Akkodis is seeking an OT Field Specialist role is a Contract with a client located in Carthage, TX. Ideally looking for applicants to have a solid background in IT Infrastructure/Operational Technology (OT) support, Field support, troubleshooting, LAN/WAN would come as a big plus.

Pay Range: $55-$65/hr. The pay may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Position Summary

The OT Field Specialist will support and maintain Operational Technology (OT) systems. The individual will serve as a primary point of contact for OT systems and network topology, working closely with facility operations personnel, project managers, the OT NOC (OTRC), and Corporate IT teams to ensure reliable and secure OT operations. Regular travel between facilities is required.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Technology Support

• Support and maintain OT infrastructure across gas plants and compressor stations.
• Act as primary OT support resource within assigned district.
• Monitor infrastructure components and systems for performance issues and anomalies.

Infrastructure & Network Administration

• Support OT network topology and infrastructure.
• Assist with deployment, configuration, and integration of infrastructure components.
• Contribute to system design with consideration for scalability, performance, and security.

Troubleshooting & Incident Resolution

• Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
• Document support requests, resolutions, and troubleshooting activities.
• Escalate issues to senior engineers or vendors when appropriate.

Disaster Recovery & Testing

• Participate in disaster recovery and system recovery testing.
• Provide input for recovery plan updates.
• Support system testing and validation activities.
• Partner with Operations, Project Managers, OT NOC, and Corporate IT.
• Engage onsite personnel to gather new business requirements.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and documentation improvements.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience.
