Akkodis is seeking a Technical Coordinator for one of our clients in Irving, Texas.

Rate Range: $70.00 to $75.00/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

The Network & Security Services Coordinator serves as the local technical lead for network and security services supporting the data center. This individual acts as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, data center operations teams, managed service providers, and enterprise network organizations to ensure network infrastructure is operated, maintained, and enhanced in accordance with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and business objectives. The role is responsible for coordinating technical activities, overseeing service delivery, managing compliance obligations, and supporting the reliability and security of critical network services.

This is a hybrid role, with 2 days onsite and 3 days work-from-home.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all network and security service requests, incidents, and operational activities related to data centers, including WAN, Wi-Fi, roaming, proxy, and internet access services.
• Coordinate network and security activities across local data center teams, business stakeholders, managed service providers, external suppliers, and enterprise centers of excellence.
• Facilitate effective communication and escalation between local operations teams and broader enterprise network and cybersecurity organizations.
• Support the integration of new business sites, applications, and managed services into the organization's network and security infrastructure.
• Assist with disaster recovery planning, readiness assessments, and testing activities for network and security services.
• Review, validate, and oversee operational activities performed by managed service providers supporting the data center network perimeter.
• Evaluate risks, business impacts, and operational considerations associated with network and security changes prior to implementation.
• Ensure compliance with corporate network architecture standards, cybersecurity policies, operational processes, and applicable regulatory requirements, including ITAR and CMMC.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, technical procedures, asset inventories, knowledge repositories, and infrastructure records.
• Monitor vulnerability remediation efforts, technology upgrades, incident management activities, problem resolution, operational reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive operational excellence by identifying opportunities to improve service quality, network performance, security posture, and process efficiency.

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise networking, network security, infrastructure operations, or technical service coordination within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, VPN technologies, SD-WAN, wireless networking, DNS, DHCP, web application firewalls, proxy services, and data center networking.
• Experience with technologies such as Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point, Palo Alto Networks, F5, Infoblox, and Zscaler is preferred.
• Experience coordinating and managing outsourced service providers and external technology partners.
• Solid understanding of IT service management disciplines, including incident, problem, change, and request management processes.
• Demonstrated ability to assess technical risk, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, and balance operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in regulated environments and supporting compliance requirements related to cybersecurity and infrastructure operations.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, ITIL, Fortinet NSE, or Palo Alto certifications are a plus.
