Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Customer Cybersecurity Engineer to secure control systems for utility and industrial customers across North America. The hybrid Raleigh, NC-based role blends advisory work with hands-on design, implementation and verification of cybersecurity controls for DCS, SCADA, HMI, and OT networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and relevant cybersecurity knowledge.
• Experience with OT networks, control systems, or virtualization environments.
• Familiarity with IEC 62443, NERC CIP, and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer cybersecurity and network requirements and translate them into secure control system solutions.
• Design, implement, test, and deploy cybersecurity controls within control system environments.
• Collaborate with customers, project teams, and cybersecurity experts to align technical solutions and compliance objectives.
• Perform cybersecurity verification and validation activities in test environments and at customer sites.
• Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and system integration activities.
• Monitor cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements across the U.S. and Canada.
• Develop technical documentation and support QA activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate and strengthen security of DCS, SCADA, HMI, and OT networks.
