Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Customer Cybersecurity Engineer in the Raleigh, NC area.

You will design, implement, verify, and continuously improve cybersecurity controls for advanced control, SCADA, HMI, and OT networks across North America, partnering with customers and global teams to ensure compliant, secure solutions. You will stay current on industry standards such as IEC 62443 and NERC CIP, translate requirements into practical controls, and support FAT/SAT, commissioning, and system

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, OT, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with network infrastructure, OT systems, or virtualization.
• Experience with VLANs, VPNs, redundancy, PKI, SSL/IPSec, RBAC, AAA, and network access controls.
• Knowledge of Windows OS, OT cybersecurity practices, IEC 62443, NERC CIP.
• Familiarity with Nessus, CIS-CAT, Nmap, McAfee ePO, IDS/IPS, or SIEM.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management; cybersecurity certs like CompTIA Security+ or Network+ desirable.

Aufgaben

• Assess customer cybersecurity and translate into secure control system solutions.
• Design, implement, test, and deploy cybersecurity controls within control system environments.
• Collaborate with customers, project teams, and cybersecurity experts to align solutions and compliance objectives.
• Perform cybersecurity verification and validation activities in test environments and at customer sites.
• Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and system integration activities.
• Monitor emerging cybersecurity standards, advisories, and regulatory requirements across the U.S. and Canada.
• Develop technical documentation and support quality assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate and strengthen the security of DCS, SCADA, HMI, and OT network environments.
