Job summary

Dow in Houston is seeking an experienced Operational Technology (OT) Cyber Defense Specialist to protect manufacturing environments. The role requires deep OT engineering knowledge and a strong interest in cybersecurity, serving as a SME within the CSOC.

You will develop OT-focused detection use cases, conduct advanced investigations, and mentor junior analysts while coordinating responses across OT and enterprise systems. This position is based in Houston with no relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military equivalent or 5 years relevant experience in lieu.
• Deep knowledge of OT/ICS technologies (DCS, PLC, SCADA) and manufacturing environments.
• Experience in security operations, incident response, threat hunting or monitoring preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as team SME for OT, guidance on ICS, OT networks and risks.
• Lead development of OT-focused detection use cases & analytics.
• Investigate security events affecting OT and enterprise environments; threat hunting and forensics.
• Evaluate emerging threats and translate intelligence into defensive capabilities.
• Develop and maintain detection content, playbooks and response procedures for OT monitoring.
• Contribute to cross-functional cybersecurity projects to improve OT posture.
• Mentor and guide analysts to develop OT expertise within CSOC.
