Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant for a 150-bed skilled nursing facility in a rural location near Mount Olive, NC. The role supports Licensed OTs through assessment, plan implementation, and hands-on therapy with patients.

Requirements include an OTA degree and an active state license; prior SNF experience is preferred. Work week is 35 hours, with no weekend rotations, and on-site duties in a rural setting offering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds

Responsabilités

• Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Implement treatment plans and document patient progress
• Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including therapeutic exercises and activities
• Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and exercises to improve daily living skills
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure understanding of treatment plans and goals
• Adhere to all state and federal regulations and ethical standards in the delivery of occupational therapy services
