Job summary

Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our 126-bed facility in Fremont. You will work with licensed Occupational Therapists to implement treatment plans and support patient independence.

We welcome candidates with an OTA associate degree and an active license, at least 2 years in healthcare. The role involves direct patient care, documentation, and collaboration with the care team, with a competitive hourly salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state license or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a skilled nursing facility.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
• Conduct therapy sessions with patients under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the Occupational Therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic activities and exercises to improve function and independence.
• Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective care for patients.
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy area.
• Stay updated on current trends and advancements in occupational therapy.
