Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to help patients regain function in an in-facility setting. The role reports to the Director of Rehab and involves implementing OT programs, following recovery plans, and delivering compassionate care tailored to each patient’s needs.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document progress, and contribute to patient-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an ACOTE/AOTA-aligned OTA program and be eligible for licensure.
• National Board certification required or in good standing where applicable.
• Active licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in the practicing state.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering occupational therapy services per recovery plans.
• Support patients' independence by implementing OT activities and programs.
• Collaborate with rehab team and refer to others as needed to meet goals.
• Engage with patients with empathy in a patient-centered care approach.
• Document progress and communicate with the Director of Rehab.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program

Initial certification from National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy

Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in state of practice
