Job summary

Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak seeks a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to implement treatment programs for patients with physical, cognitive, or psychosocial dysfunction under the supervision of an OTR. You will document patient care and coordinate with the treatment team to support recovery.

The role is full-time, daytime shift, 40 hours weekly, with variable hours and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Requires an OTA degree or equivalent in occupational therapy.
• Experience with industrial rehab and ergonomics is preferred.
• Hands: familiarity with UE hand dysfunction and injuries.
• COTA certification or eligibility required at hire.
• BLS certification preferred (AHA or ARC).

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment programs for patients with physical, cognitive, or psychosocial dysfunction under supervision.
• Documents patient treatment according to laws and professional standards.
• Submits charges for services and communicates with the treatment team.
• Interacts with patients of all ages and cultures and supports discharge planning.
