Job summary

Apploi is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support licensed therapists in providing occupational therapy services in a skilled nursing facility. The role involves implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and helping patients achieve independence with daily activities.

The successful candidate will hold an Associate’s degree from an accredited OT program and current state licensure, with strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Current state licensure as Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Proficiency with all applicable state, federal, and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Select therapy activities to fit patients’ needs and observe progress.
• Collaborate with other health care professionals involved in patient care.
• Instruct patients and families in home programs and use of adaptive equipment.
• Assess daily living skills and assist patients in dressing and grooming.
• Maintain and clean equipment for patient use.
• Demonstrate therapy techniques and guide patients in coping skills.
• Attend care plan meetings to review progress and update plans.
