Qualifications

• RN with Virginia license or licensed in a compact state upon hire.
• CPR/BLS certification upon hire.
• Certified Wound Care Nurse preferred.
• 2 years wound care experience preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred; Associate degree required or Nursing Diploma Program Graduate with HS Diploma/GED if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care for ostomy, wound, and skin problems.
• Coordinate Outpatient Ostomy Clinic operations and liaise with Value Analysis Team for product evaluation.
• Maintain safe patient care environment per RHS policies and regulatory requirements; monitor safety goals and quality initiatives.
• Provide education to RRMC clinical staff and serve as preceptor to nursing students; participate in Skin Integrity Team activities.
• Document ostomy self-care and patient data accurately in the electronic medical records.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)

Associates Degree in Nursing (Required) or Diploma Graduate (Required)

HS Diploma or GED if Nursing Diploma Program Graduate (Required)
