Job summary

Tri-Cities Family YMCA seeks an OST Site Lead to provide daily leadership and oversight of the Out-of-School Time program at an assigned site. You will supervise staff, ensure safe supervision of children, and maintain compliance with state licensing rules while delivering engaging activities.

The role requires working closely with families, school personnel, and YMCA teammates to support youth development and healthy living.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Certifications: Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid within 30 days of employment.
• Child abuse prevention training within 30 days.
• Must complete all required professional development and licensing training.
• Must demonstrate ability to work effectively with children, families, coworkers, and community partners.
• Must meet Michigan child care licensing qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, lead, and provide daily oversight of the OST program and staff at the site.
• Maintain age-appropriate, continuous supervision of children and staff-to-child ratios during all activities.
• Ensure compliance with Michigan child care licensing rules and YMCA safety standards.
• Create an inclusive, welcoming, safe environment for children, families, and staff.
• Plan and lead engaging activities promoting social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Communicate with families and the OST Program Director regarding children's needs and updates.
• Maintain program records and documentation with confidentiality.
• Model YMCA values and promote programs to the community.
