Job summary

The Y in Central Maryland is seeking an OST Site Director to lead a grant-funded after-school program serving students in local schools and communities. You will build a strong team, manage resources, and ensure program quality aligns with grant requirements and youth needs.

You’ll recruit and coach staff, track participation and outcomes, prepare regular reports, and cultivate school and community partnerships while modeling the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Qualifications

• Passion for youth development and creating high-quality learning experiences.
• Experience leading an after-school, education, youth-development, or community-based program.
• Strong leadership and staff coaching/supervision experience.
• Ability to manage budgets, monitor spending, and maintain records.
• Experience tracking outcomes and preparing data and narrative reports.
• Strong relationship-building with schools, families, staff, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee a high-quality, developmentally appropriate out-of-school-time program aligned with grant requirements and youth needs.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and support program associates.
• Review and approve associate time and attendance and participate in performance management when needed.
• Build a positive, collaborative relationship with school leadership while meeting program expectations.
• Monitor staffing hours, program expenses, and resources to remain within the approved grant budget.
• Track program participation, progress, and outcomes.
• Prepare accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly data and narrative reports.
• Develop and maintain partnerships that strengthen and sustain the program.
• Lead effective staff meetings and actively contribute to school, partner, and organizational meetings.
• Develop outreach and marketing materials and maintain an appropriate social media presence for the program.
• Support school-year programming and summer programming when offered.
• Model the Y's core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
