Job summary

Lumos Networks Corp. is seeking an experienced OSP Project Engineer to support planning, validation, and execution of fiber expansion projects.

You will review OSP construction prints, CAD drawings, GIS data, and reporting to identify discrepancies and help convert near-net locations to on-net service. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in OSP engineering or telecom, knowledge of OSHA/NESC, and proficiency with Excel, CAD/GIS tools, and SQL/Snowflake for data validation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' technical experience in OSP Engineering, Construction, or Operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• Fiber and telecommunications industry experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepares detailed construction & installation drawings and reviews prints to align with project requirements.
• Provides estimates of labor and materials costs and design loss calculations.
• Maps and drafts using CAD; updates ICMS records and permits.
• Manages OSP work schedules; develops cost studies and reports on progress.
• Performs data validation using Excel, SQL queries, and reporting tools.
• Liaises with city officials for permitting and with customers for land acquisitions.
