Job summary

Lumos Fiber is seeking a full-time OSP Construction Project Engineer to manage outside plant construction projects across a market, focusing on safety, schedule, and budget adherence. The role requires building strong relationships with subcontractors and coordinating with multiple internal teams to ensure on-time, compliant delivery of fiber facilities.

Candidates should have 5+ years in OSP engineering or related fields, plus a high school diploma or higher.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical experience in OSP Engineering, Construction, or Operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid, unencumbered driver’s license required.
• Fiber or Telecom industry experience essential.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains relationships with local subcontractors and partners to manage OSP crews’ activity, safely, on time, and within budget.
• Tracks crew progress and reports real-time status to internal teams.
• Monitors safety culture at worksites and ensures compliance with safety requirements.
• Ensures OSP subcontractor crews meet NESC code for aerial construction and related regulations.
• Coordinates with internal teams on materials forecasting, scheduling, and permit needs.
