Job summary

Lumos is seeking a full-time OSP Project Engineer to plan and prepare drawings for construction of overhead or underground links. You will select cost-efficient routes and help expand our fiber network, collaborating across teams to meet project goals.

Bring 5+ years in OSP Engineering/Construction, strong OSHA/NESC knowledge, and proficiency with CAD, GIS, Excel, and SQL. This on-site role offers comprehensive benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ technical experience in OSP Engineering, Construction, or Operations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA rules, NESC requirements, and related regulations.
• High school diploma; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Proactive, independent and collaborative—takes initiative.

Responsibilities

• Prepares detailed construction & installation drawings and reviews CAD/GIS prints.
• Provides estimates of labor and materials costs and design loss calculations.
• Maps and drafts utilizing CAD & manual processes.
• Researches ICMS records, permits, and ISP designs.
• Manages & tracks OSP schedules to align with timelines.
• Performs data validation using Excel and SQL to support decisions.
• Collaborates with city officials on permitting and land acquisitions.
