Job summary

Ziply Fiber is seeking an experienced OSP Engineering leader in Everett, WA to guide a team and drive pre-construction activities. You will ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, and managing engineering work orders; maintaining project documentation; and ensuring timely releases to Construction. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of outside plant (OSP) experience including quoting and pre-construction activities.
• Developed leadership skills with ability to mentor and lead others.
• Experience using fiber optic network documentation tools.
• Advanced understanding of permitting processes for railroad, DOT, cities, counties, and pole owners.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and satisfactory driving record.
• Must complete a pre-employment drug screening.
• Experience managing capital budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead an Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering team and provide leadership and mentorship through coaching, feedback, development goals and performance management.
• Accountable for staffing, schedules and compliance associated with OSP engineering and construction activities, along with safety and quality of work performed.
• Oversee production of all engineering work orders; ensure compliance with company standards, NESC, and municipal requirements; release orders to Construction on time.
• Manage Engineering process and documentation through project completion.
• Identify permitting authorities and oversee permit applications.
• Develop, coordinate, and execute project schedules with contractors, property management, customers, vendors, internal stakeholders, municipalities, and government agencies.
• Coordinate and participate in internal meetings to ensure communication and alignment of initiatives.
• Coordinate with State, local municipalities, and utilities.
• Verify contractor’s invoices for accuracy and process to AP in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization.
