Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling seeks a Corporate Safety Compliance Specialist to ensure OSHA and fire safety regulatory adherence across operations. You will support program development, conduct audits, and investigate incidents to prevent recurrence.

Applicants should have 3–5 years of occupational safety experience, familiarity with OSHA requirements, and strong training capabilities. The role requires occasional travel and availability for nights/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in occupational safety, OSHA compliance, or safety program management.
Experience in industrial, manufacturing, waste management, transportation, or construction environments preferred.
Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis.
OSHA 30-Hour General Industry or Construction preferred.

Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance: ensure OSHA regulations and state safety standards are followed.
Program Administration: support safety programs across company locations.
Auditing & Inspections: lead internal safety and compliance audits.
Incident Investigation: assist with injuries, near misses, and fires.
OSHA Recordkeeping: maintain injury/illness records and regulatory reports.
Training & Education: provide OSHA compliance training to teams and managers.
