Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Corporate Safety Compliance Specialist (OSHA/Fire) to ensure organizational compliance with OSHA regulations, fire prevention, and internal safety policies across operations. You will help develop, monitor, and audit safety programs to reduce injuries and promote a proactive safety culture.

The role collaborates with DOT safety, regional managers, and maintenance teams to identify hazards, implement corrective actions, and maintain accurate regulatory

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in occupational safety, OSHA compliance, Fire Systems and Prevention, or safety program management
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, waste management, transportation, or construction environments preferred
• OSHA 30-Hour General Industry or Construction, preferred
• OSHA General Industry Outreach Trainer Certification or qualified to obtain
• Fire Suppression System knowledge, preferred
• NFPA knowledge, preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure OSHA compliance and fire prevention across operations
• Lead safety audits and investigations
• Maintain OSHA injury and illness records
• Provide OSHA training to corporate teams and regional managers
• Support safety program development and metrics
