Oak Harbor Freight Lines is seeking an OS&D clerk to join the team in Sparks, NV. The role focuses on reviewing deliveries, investigating discrepancies, and coordinating with customers and drivers to resolve freight issues.

Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, 2+ years in customer-facing roles, and admin experience. MS Office proficiency is required, AS400 experience is a plus, and employees enjoy benefits and job stability in a long-standing regional carrier.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a position with significant customer contact and customer service.
• At least 1 year in an administrative role in an office environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to track several packages and inquiries simultaneously.
• LTL experience and knowledge of shipping terminology and processes preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across multiple Oak Harbor departments.
• Strong PC proficiency with MS Office; AS400 experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review all previous day deliveries for short, overages, damages, and refusals.
• Investigate packages without identification to ensure they are directed to the appropriate customer.
• Conduct damaged goods assessment and coordinate with shipper for disposition after investigation.
• Answer phone calls and provide customer service by assisting inquiries.
• Coordinate with Drivers to resolve freight claims as needed.
• Report unidentified freight to the claims team after investigation.
• Assist the claims team with salvage freight and other office duties.
