Job summary

Hanger Clinic is seeking a Clinician-Resident to provide comprehensive prosthetic and orthotic care under supervision, advancing to independent practice. You will assess patients, formulate treatment plans, and collaborate with the rehabilitation team to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Under NCOPE residency rules, you’ll receive structured training, mentorship, and access to advanced technologies while developing professional responsibilities and clinical notes for medical necessity documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or post-graduate certificate in Orthotics/Prosthetics from a CAAHEP-accredited program.
• Must have or be eligible for a valid driver’s license per policy.
• Preferred: Master’s degree with post-graduate certificate in Orthotics/Prosthetics.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate prosthetic/orthotic needs and options.
• Examine and evaluate patient needs related to disease and functional loss.
• Design prostheses/orthoses and select materials and components.
• Take casts/measurements and perform static/dynamic alignments.
• Fit devices and adjust for fit, function, and efficacy.
• Provide patient education and follow-up, and document outcomes.
