Job summary

Hanger Clinic is seeking a Resident to train in orthotics and prosthetics under the supervision of accredited residency directors and clinic staff. You will progress from direct supervision to greater independence while delivering high-quality patient care and documentation.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, device fabrication support, and collaboration with physicians and therapists to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or post-graduate Certificate in Orthotics and/or Prosthetics from a CAAHEP-accredited program is required.
• Preferred Master’s degree in Orthotics and/or Prosthetics from a CAAHEP-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate prosthetic/orthotic needs and recommend treatment options.
• Examine and evaluate patient needs related to disease and functional loss.
• Design prostheses/orthoses and select materials and components.
• Perform fittings and static/dynamic alignments; ensure proper fit and function.
• Provide patient instruction and follow-up care; document clinical notes.
