Job summary

Hanger Clinic in Birmingham seeks an Orthotics & Prosthetics Technician to fabricate a variety of devices in a workshop setting, away from the exam room. This role emphasizes hands-on craftsmanship, using band saws, drill presses and other small tools under physician prescriptions.

You will manage inventory, place orders with vendors, and maintain materials for the fabrication process, contributing to patient mobility and comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training school or 2 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use appropriate hand tools to fabricate and repair orthotic and/or prosthetic devices.
• Perform ordering and receiving and other inventory tasks as assigned.
• Contact vendors to order orthotic fabrication materials and maintain inventory of items used during fabrication process.
