Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking an Orthotic Fitter to join our Ocala clinic team. You will provide independent patient-care services, fitting off‑the‑shelf and pre‑fabricated orthoses under indirect supervision, ensuring proper fit, function and safety.

The role focuses on geriatric and general populations, with collaboration with physicians and staff, diligent documentation, and adherence to Medicare, HIPAA and OSHA standards. A valid driver’s license and ABC certification are required or eligible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Certified Fitter or Orthotics (ABC) certification required.
• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record.

Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patients' needs in relation to disease and functional loss.
• Perform independent patient care for devices within scope
• Evaluate orthotic device on patient, adjust for fit, function and safety
• Instruct patient in use of orthotic devices
• Provide detailed clinical notes to patient records
• Provide follow-up with patients and physicians
• Provide information to administrative staff to conduct reimbursement activities
• Provide in-service training to physicians and allied health care professionals
• Adhere to safety regulations and regulatory requirements
