Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech in Warsaw, IN seeks a Development Engineer in US Orthopedics to drive product development across the full lifecycle of medical devices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, compliant designs in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering and at least 2 years in Product Development, with strong CAD/analysis skills and experience in DOE, FEA/Ansys, and MATLAB. Occasional travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or mechanical engineering in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years in a Product Development role.
• Engineering design, development and analysis skills.
• Strong project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design inputs/outputs management, materials selection, biocompatibility, risk management, and verification & validation.
• Support product testing with protocol and test method development.
• Collaborate across functions and geographies; problem solving and decision making.
• Support development of multiple new product codes with differing technology.
• Provide DFX input and translate design inputs to outputs.
• Develop and qualify complex tolerance analysis.
• DOE, process characterizations and statistical optimizations.
