Job summary

Cape Cod Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine in Hyannis, MA is seeking an Orthopedic Testing & Outgoing Referral coordinator. The role coordinates patient referrals, tests, and communications between patients, providers, labs, and insurers to ensure timely, accurate care.

You will schedule imaging and diagnostic tests (MRIs, X-rays, CTs), manage pre-authorizations, document results in the EMR, and collaborate with surgeons and medical staff to support patient recovery and service quality.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of orthopedic terminology and procedures.
• Experience with EMR systems (eClinicalWorks or Epic).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient referrals and communication between patients, providers, labs, and insurers.
• Coordinate diagnostic tests (MRIs, CTs, X-rays, EMGs, ultrasounds).
• Manage insurance pre-authorizations and claims documentation.
• Enter referrals and results in EMR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with surgeons and staff to support patient care.
