Job summary

NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital in New York, NY, is seeking a Surgical Technologist for Days in Orthopedic Surgery (ST Exp and Board Cert Req) LOH. You will scrub on all surgical procedures in the Operating Room under the direction of a licensed professional nurse and assist the physician in procedural areas.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS, NBSTSA-accredited program completion, and certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• Graduate of NBSTSA-accredited Surgical Technologist program; certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all surgical procedures in the Operating Room under the supervision of the circulating RN.
• Assist the physician in procedural areas as a secondary circulator.
• Anticipate and gather needed supplies and equipment based on procedure cards.
• Report unexpected events and outcomes to RN staff and leadership in a timely fashion.
• Provide on-call coverage where applicable.
