Job summary

Inova Oakville Ambulatory Surgery Center in Alexandria, VA is seeking a seasoned Surgical Tech (ST) for a part-time or PRN, day shift position, with no nights, weekends, call, or holidays.

You will scrub under a Registered Nurse, prepare and maintain OR sterile supplies, assist with instrument counts, and help with turnovers to support efficient surgical case flow. Strong orthopedic background preferred; BLS required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year progressive OR experience as a Surgical Tech.
• Surgical Technology certification preferred.
• Current Virginia registration and eligibility to practice as a Surgical Tech.
• BLS certification required prior to start.
• Excellent communication and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain OR supplies, instruments, and rooms.
• Scrub under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist with patient prep and positioning.
• Pass instruments, assist surgeon, maintain sterile field.
• Assist with turnover and room readiness.
• Support recovery area transfers as needed.
