Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist Lead to support Ortho and Ortho Trauma. This full-time day shift role requires on-call duties for nights, weekends, and holidays, with compensation based on experience and a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance if eligible.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Experience: 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience.
• Certification: Basic Life Support from American Heart Association required upon start.
• Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C) via NCCT required upon start.
• License: Registered Surgical Technologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia required upon start.

Responsibilities

• Identifies clinical and operational variables affecting patient and case outcomes.
• Provides clear and appropriate information and documentation for routine and complex cases.
• Coordinates the delivery of appropriate services for specialty, physician group, and population.
• Facilitates seamless transitions between pre-, intra-, and post-operative patient care.
• Identifies learning needs proactively and utilizes vendors for education on equipment and instruments.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
