Job summary

Inova Oakville Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a Part-Time or PRN Surgical Tech to join our orthopedic-focused team in Alexandria, VA. The role involves scrubbing under a Registered Nurse, preparing and maintaining supplies, and ensuring aseptic technique throughout preoperative and intraoperative phases.

The position features day shifts, with no nights, weekends, call, or holidays, and offers competitive compensation within the stated salary range.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year progressive experience in the operating room as a Surgical Tech.
• Surgical Tech certification preferred.
• Current registration and eligibility to practice as a Surgical Tech in Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with instrument counts and aseptic setup during surgery.
• Assist surgeon by passing instruments and supplies and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Manage room turnover and instrument cleaning/sterilization after procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient, safe procedures and patient care.
