Applied Medical is a leading medical device company seeking an Orthopedic Specialist Associate to provide surgical case coverage and customer support across a Charlotte, NC territory. You will support open cases, deliver technical education, and maintain strong relationships with surgeons and hospital teams.

The role requires a 4-year degree, healthcare exposure, and willingness to travel. Strong communication, initiative, and the ability to quickly learn complex procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree required.
• Experience in healthcare or clinical support encouraged.
• Strong academics or athletic achievement showing competitiveness.
• Ability to learn medical terminology and surgical procedures quickly.
• Willingness to travel across territory.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Self-starter with entrepreneurial drive.
• Must live in territory or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical case coverage across multiple accounts within the territory.
• Serve as a resource to support case coverage needs, including high-volume accounts and absences.
• Deliver clinical and technical expertise to surgeons, nurses, and OR staff during procedures.
• Partner with territory sales reps and leadership to execute sales and service strategies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, clinical staff, and hospital admins.
• Demonstrate knowledge of products, techniques, and competitive offerings to support success.
• Assist with staff education, product training, and in-service sessions.
• Maintain records of case activity and territory support using company tools.
• Travel across territory with a flexible schedule for case coverage.
• Adhere to company, industry, and regulatory standards for compliance.
