Job summary

Applied Medical is a leading medical device company seeking a field-based Medical Sales Professional to expand our footprint in the Boston area. You will provide surgical case coverage, deliver clinical support, and collaborate with hospital staff to drive device adoption.

In this role you will train customers, maintain strong relationships with physicians and clinical teams, and travel across the territory while meeting regulatory and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree required or encouraged
• Experience in healthcare or clinical support is encouraged
• Strong academics, athletics, or professional track record shows competitiveness and resilience
• Ability to learn complex medical terminology and procedures quickly
• Willingness to travel significantly across geographic territory
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial drive
• Must reside in the position's geographic location or be willing to relocate
• Compliance with third-party credentialing requirements (e.g., vaccination) may be required

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical case coverage across multiple accounts within the assigned territory
• Support case coverage needs for high-volume accounts and absences
• Deliver clinical and technical expertise to surgeons, nurses, and OR staff
• Partner with territory sales reps to execute sales and service strategies
• Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, clinical staff, and hospital admins
• Demonstrate knowledge of company products, techniques, and competitors
• Assist with staff education, product training, and in-service
• Maintain records of case activity and territory support using reporting tools
• Travel across territory with flexible scheduling to cover cases
• Adhere to company, industry, and regulatory standards
