Job summary

Applied Medical seeks an Orthopedic Specialist Associate to provide surgical case coverage and customer support across a territory. This role serves as a flexible resource, ensuring product representation and service in operating rooms during procedures.

It supports territory sales reps by covering open cases, assisting with product education, and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree is required or encouraged.
• Experience in healthcare or clinical support is encouraged.
• Strong record of achievement in academics, athletics, or prior roles.
• Ability to learn complex medical terminology and procedures quickly.
• Willingness to travel across a geographic territory.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must live in the geographical location or be willing to relocate.
• Credentialing may include COVID-19 vaccination requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical case coverage across multiple accounts within the territory.
• Support case coverage needs, including high-volume accounts and absences.
• Deliver clinical and technical expertise to surgeons and OR staff during procedures.
• Partner with territory sales reps to execute sales and service strategies.
• Develop relationships with physicians, clinical staff and hospital admins.
• Demonstrate knowledge of products, techniques, and competitors.
• Assist with staff education, product training and in-service sessions.
• Maintain records of case activity and territory support using reporting tools.
• Travel across territory geography with a flexible schedule.
