Job summary

Ascension Saint Agnes Orthopedic Surgery in Baltimore, MD is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our outpatient orthopedic team. You will conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations, manage conservative treatment, handle postoperative care, and perform minor office procedures, practicing at the top of your license with strong team support.

Qualifications

• NCCPA certification is required.
• Maryland licensure as a Physician Assistant or eligibility is required.
• ACLS/ALS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations for outpatient orthopedic patients.
• Manage conservative treatment plans and post-operative care.
• Perform minor in-office procedures (e.g., joint injections, aspirations, splinting/casting).
• Provide full-spectrum outpatient orthopedic support across general orthopedics, spine, and postoperative management.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Physician Assistant to join an employed orthopedic team within a busy, well-respected outpatient practice. Offering a dedicated Monday through Friday office schedule, this role focuses on comprehensive clinical evaluations, conservative management, post-operative care, and minor office procedures, allowing you to practice at the top of your license with the full backing of a supportive orthopedic team and a robust health system network

• NCCPA certified

• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration

• Provide full-spectrum outpatient orthopedic support across general orthopedics, spine, and post-operative management

• Perform routine in-office diagnostic and therapeutic interventions (e.g., joint injections, aspirations, splinting/casting, and suture/staple removal) to ensure efficient patient care and optimal recovery outcomes.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Physician Assistant credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

• 1 year of experience preferred.
