Job summary

Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an inpatient, employed, full-time position. The role supports comprehensive diagnostic and preventive care under physician supervision.

The team includes 13 physicians and 8 APPs, with a schedule from 7pm to 7am and no call. Candidates must hold NCCPA/AANPCM/ANCC certification, MD licensure, and be eligible for DEA registration.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date; certification accepted by major organizations.
• Physician Assistant credential with Maryland Board of Physicians.
• Advanced Life Support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care under physician supervision for acute and chronic conditions.
• Conduct detailed health assessments, gather patient histories, and interpret tests to guide treatment plans.
• Support inpatient care in a busy practice with a strong referral base.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.

• Join an established team of 13 physicians and 8 APPs
• Schedule: 7pm-7am
• Call structure: None
• Practice setting: Inpatient
• Employed position within a nonprofit health system
• NCCPA, AANPCM, or ANCC Board Certification
• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
• Deliver comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care under physician supervision to manage both acute and chronic health conditions effectively.
• Conduct detailed health assessments, gather complete patient histories, and interpret diagnostic tests to guide precise, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Previous critical care experience is a plus!

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Physician Assistant credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

• 1 year of experience preferred.
