Job summary

Smith+Nebw designs and manufactures orthopedic technology for extremities. The technical consultant will support internal and external fixation product lines, perform sales calls, provide on‑call clinical coverage in the OR, and train surgeons across the territory.

You will collaborate with surgeons, hospitals, OR staff, Sterile Processing, administrators, and researchers, and work cross‑divisionally to raise product awareness and adoption. The role also requires managing a 24/7 call rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum four years of sales experience in the medical device industry, preferably orthopedic products, or EMS/Paramedic background.
• Preferred healthcare industry experience selling orthopedic products or EMT/Paramedic background.
• Proven track record of selling and converting surgeons or hospital stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Make sales calls and manage territory activity.
• Provide on‑call clinical case coverage in the OR.
• Train surgeons on Smith+Nebw products through educational programs.
• Collaborate with surgeons, hospitals, OR staff and administrators to grow product adoption.
• Maintain a 24/7 call rotation across the territory.
