Job summary

Banner Health's TOCA at Banner Health in Tempe seeks a Physician Practice Supervisor to lead non-physician staff and supervise daily operations. You will drive patient experience and coordinate day-to-day admin tasks across reception, scheduling, records, and information systems.

The role requires at least an Associate’s Degree, 2+ years in a physician's office, and relevant medical certifications. You’ll supervise staff, coach performance, and ensure compliance with policy and regulatory

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate’s Degree as a baseline literacy, communication and math skills.
• Two years of experience in a physician's office or medical environment.
• Current certification as Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant or LPN or equivalent/licensure.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required at hire and maintained during employment.
• Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed at hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day activities of non-physician staff to maintain productivity.
• Trains, coaches, motivates, conducts performance evaluations and directs staff workflow.
• Oversee all medical group functions including reception, scheduling, records, transcription and information systems.
• Acts as liaison between non-physician staff and physicians to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintains office policies and procedures per physician, facility, and regulatory requirements.
• Determines facility maintenance and equipment needs; coordinates repairs and supplies.
• Covers front and back office functions; may administer medications as directed.
• Understands daily workflow and provides guidance to ensure efficient operations and patient experience.
